Platinum Jubilee Celebrations at Clevedon Pier

Clevedon Pier & Heritage Trust proudly announce plans to celebrate Her Majesty the Queen’s Platinum Jubilee, by hosting a community day of joyous celebrations, on Sunday 5th June.

Phil Curme, Chairman of Clevedon Pier & Heritage Trust said ….

“We are grateful for the support of Clevedon Town Council and are honoured to have been chosen to lead Clevedon’s Platinum Jubilee festivities”.

To mark this special occasion, a reduced price for entry, will be on offer throughout the day and the Pier will open from 11.00am, with entertainment starting at midday until 5.00pm.

Joining the celebrations will be an eclectic mix of live entertainment, including pier favourites, sea-shanty band the Barnacle Buoys, who will kick off the day…..

……….followed by two lively performances by returning Classical-crossover star, Teresa de Roberto

Also on the line-up so far, are the Rock Choir North Somerset, a 60 strong piece choir, who will getting you to sing-along!

Clevedon Pier volunteers will beautifully decorate the spans and deck with a colourful array of flowers and handmade celebratory bunting – with a spectacular floral arch arrangement on the pier’s recently restored gates.

Bring Your Party to the Party!

On-site restaurant, the Glass Box, led by Head Chef, Nicholas Thick, will also be adding to the celebrations. A limited amount of ‘party tables’ will line the spans of the pier, which can be exclusively booked for your group for the day! Up to six people will have their own decorated dedicated table to sit back enjoy the views, the entertainment and be with their loved ones.

These limited tables cost £20 (for up to six people), and once they’re gone, they’re gone!

“Over the years Clevedon Pier has hosted a succession of Jubilee events marking milestones in the reign of six monarchs, starting from Queen Victoria. Queen Elizabeth II’s 70 years of outstanding service is a stand-out reason to celebrate and our Platinum Jubilee ‘bring a party to the party’ event will be a day to remember”.
